The M-68 MOL trousers were a study in functional minimalism: two open side pockets, knob-button closure at the ankle, no belt loops — the suit rode over standard webbing, not through it. Issued to YPA's restricted camouflage branches, they were rarely seen on the broader army until the pattern was retired by the M-87 in 1987.
The M-68 summer pattern itself is deceptively simple: a forest green base broken by long, sparse spots of brown and yellow — only three tones, but effective at range in the mixed woodland and scrub terrain of the Balkans. The same pattern appeared on YPA transport bags and the still-sought JNA tent flap, making it one of the more quietly ubiquitous designs of the Cold War Yugoslav military.
These cargo pants carry that pattern in a straight-leg cut with spacious side pockets and a button-zip closure.
