Yugoslav M-68 MOL

Yugoslav M-68 MOL

M-68 MOL — Yugoslavia, 1968–1987

Developed in 1968 and issued exclusively to elite YPA branches — paratroopers, snipers, reconnaissance — the Maskirno Odelo M-68 was Yugoslavia's first modern camouflage battledress. Its three-tone summer pattern (green, brown, yellow) reversed to solid white for winter. Conservative YPA doctrine kept it out of general issue for nearly two decades; most of the army wore obsolete wool uniforms until the M-87 replaced everything in 1987. The M-68 saw its widest use not in the YPA, but in the Yugoslav Wars of the 1990s — on all sides of the conflict, briefly, before domestic BDU copies took over.
